These Pole Axe are constructed as our stock items, the only difference being the overall length is slightly shorter than standard and one has a butt spike added. Our observations and handling of the original in The Wallace Collection, in London has allowed us to produce a worthy copy of this 15th century French weapon. The pole axe of the 15th century came in many lengths and sizes so these are quite accurate to the period.

Pole axe combat was very common in the list and one can see how effective this type of weapon would be against an armored opponent. The reach and sturdiness of the weapon allow signifigant blows to be delivered. The axe as well as the hammer face could force an antagonist to his knees. The bold top spike is sturdy enough to thrust throw any gap or weak point it may find. The combat undertaken with such an axe would be brutal and dangerous.

An exceptional Great Sword of immense size. This wonderful sword is finished with an aged patina creating an ancient look. The hilt features steel parts and a mottled deep brown leather grip. The sword is based on a couple of very large originals and would make a stunning focus for any display or collection. The edge is slightly rebated and will not slice your finger.

One could hardly find a more impressive addition for a collection or focal point in a display than this beautiful sword.

While it is a huge sword, the balance point is only four and a half inches in front of the guard. One could wield this weapon in combat with great effect and its tempered steel blade would be a fearsome opponent for some unlucky medieval man at arms.

A left handed version of our new #237 Messer Trainer. This particular piece was one of the first batch of our new messer. The grip slabs are sanded on the outer surface thus the grain looks a bit different than our stock version. This grip is stained black. These are the only differences from a stock piece.
